How to Contribute

Thank you for helping document the languages and dialects of the Philippines! This wiki is a collaborative project, and everyone is welcome to contribute.

Step 1: Choose a Dialect

 • Check the Master List of Dialects.
 • If the dialect already has a page (blue link), you can improve it.
 • If the dialect does not exist yet (red link), click the red link to create it.

Step 2: Use the Dialect Page Template

When creating a new dialect page, please copy and paste the following template:

This article about a dialect of Your Country is a stub. You can help expand it by contributing.

Step 3: Add Categories

At the bottom of the page, add categories so the dialect is auto-listed. Example:

See: and

Step 4: Save Your Work

 • Write a short edit summary describing what you added.
 • Click "Save page" and check how it looks.
 • Feel free to improve formatting, add tables, or insert references later.

Tips for Contributors

 • Use reliable sources when possible (academic works, dictionaries, recordings).
 • If unsure, mark the page as a "stub" and someone else can expand it.
 • Be consistent with headings and categories so all pages look similar.
 • Be respectful when documenting — some dialect names or features may be sensitive.
